Help!My stock turbo is on it's last legs.i have an MTM chip on an aby s2.Is it ok to fit the rs2 turbo rather than another stock s2 k24?the engine is sound,no other issues,i will be fitting an rs2 intercooler whilst she's off the road,any comments/experience would be appreciated.thankyou.

Not many RS2 turbos on stock everythng else around. Glens car that James now has is running this though. It has a custom map (not done realtime though) for that. We are going to try and meet up with James this week and see how well it is running.
You should be ok driving it with your maps, but I would not drive WOT until you know it is running sensible EGTs.

thanks for the reply doug,i will get it checked out with you when i get a chance,i am hoping it will be ok because the next MTM upgrade from the ecu is an upgraded turbo and as far as i know the ecu stays with the "stage one" chip.it would be £££s cheaper to fit an rs2 turbo than the MTM hybrid.Comment

The S2 that Doug refers to was mine and is now James's. I can honestly say I did 6 runs on the RR and the first 2 gave 321 BHP and 322 BHP with tourqe figures arround 460 NM. (recovering from heat soak)
Run 3 or 4 gave 337BHP with 475 NM Tourqe.
Run 5 + 6 did 331 BHP and 332 BHP with 475 NM Tourqe.
I did send the RR results for Mihnea to post on his website maybe about 2 years ago very much doubt he will have them now but I still have the paper copies arround in my shed.
Its an ok set up but for the extra effort I think the Injectors, EM, IC, and WG spring would make it much better. Price just made me go down the poor mans route.
