    Stroker blocks

Which are the easiest to use?
Ie. least amount of machining required etc.
    Any BTDT would be appreciated
I have been offerd two T4 2.5 / 2.4 engines and I was wondering if these will do the trick. BTW they are brand new and not a bad price IMHO.

              Bry!,

I can confirm that the the ACU is not machined for the timing sensors on the side of the block. Pretty confident it does not have the oil squirters either. Comp ratio is quite high 10:1. Not sure whether pistons are forged or not.
So thats quite a bit of machining. Others have overcome this though.
Think the crank (95.5mm) and rods (150mm c/c) are the same as the 2.4 diesel.

Is there an alternative with less work to do on it?
How much is a new one worth?

                    Hello!,

The 2.5 tdi (AAT/AEL) is probably the best bet. It has all the machining done for oil squirters and timing sensors. Marco has done all the had work in getting it to work!
