We have been alfatesting Tatech T5 - standalone in ABY-environment for a few weeks. Plug and play system consists of generic T5 ecu and adapter loom to connect it into OE harness. Only one grounding point needs to be added.
With exception of MAP sensor, T5 utilizes all OE sensors and operational devices.
T5 features following basic functions:
-fuel and ignition control
-real time mapping
-flash / RS232 data logging
-fuel pump control
-adjustable soft rev limiter
-online feedback from datalog to fuel and ignition maps
-english user interface and installation manuals
-user fixable resolution of rpm maps from 16 up to 30 pieces, max rev speed 15 000rpm.
extra functions via user fixable digital outputs:
-anti lag (equips stock idle valve and/or external antilag-valve)
-flat shift
-waterspray control
-fan control
-wastegate control
-launch control
-traction control (requires external launch control module; costs 400 eur)
-idle control
-shift indicator
input features:
-user fixable temperature inputs
-user fixable MAP sensor input
-user fixable TPS sensor input
-egt and knock sensor input (both open and closed loop)
-AEM wideband input
Some features require wiring, but basic functions work without any HW mods.
Also some replacement ignition amplifiers seem not to be T5 compliant, so they may need to be replaced.
