    Spark plug leads

Can anyone tell me where the best place to get some spark plug leads or uprated leads from for my 3B engine is.my local Audi dealer wanted £215 for the full set :eek2: :eek2: .None of the garages i usually use stocks them. Does everyone else just run standard leads or uprated?

    Cheers, Chris

Chris, the best place to get uprated leads from without a doubt is from Magnecor!

They custom make if they don't have the 'pattern' on file. A friend of mine bought some V8 leads from them as the OE ones where about he same price as the S2 ones. They made him a set for about £80. They have race wires too if you really want to get heavy!!

    Visit http://www.magnecor.co.uk

I've got race HT lead wires on my ABY, they look the biz!

Thats just what i thought. Thinkin of sellin mine and gettin a newer ABY model. I also need the breather pipe that goes from the back of the cylinder head to the crank. That was £65 so i made my own for now,it sorted my oil leak.
                Cheers,

Show me which pipe - I have just removed all my breather pipes. I have chopped one up already, but Greg should have a full set. These are ABY ones so not sure if they are the same as 3B pipes.

Haven't got a photo handy, the small pipe is about 1.5cm in radius and 25cm long, this end goes into the back of the cylinder head.It joins a larger pipe on the engine, bottom of it goes to the crank and top of it joins to what looks like a plastic gause filter.

That sounds like the one I have chopped up - you could ask Greg S what he is doing with his though.

Try C.A.S. for leads, they do bosch sets and have been known to be fairly reasonable with prices, especially to trade. They have branches Nationwide. The Number for branch in Leicester is (0116 2550066) they should be able to put you in touch with your nearest branch.
With regard to oil breather pipes, don't mention it to Beetie I had to replace jis whole breather system when I did his head gasket! They were fooked! (3b) Not cheap at all!!!
A6 Avant Tdi 110 because as the fuel prices keep going up I am so happy to be getting 649.8 miles to a tank of diesel!! (£50)
