After reading the different threads from top to bottom, I'm not sure what to think...
I trust Mihnea's judgement about running the ABY with 10w-60 BUT I want to be sure that switching from 5w-40 to 10w-60 will not damage my engine in ANY way as it runs fabulously on 5w-40 ( though I have to admit that I can't really compare, I have to point out that whilst driving 1100km in one day at 130 km/h with a fully laden trailer in 33 degree celsius atmosphere, after 4-5 hours, when cruising at 3100 rpm, the oil pressure was only at 4 BAR. At the time I didn't really worry about it, now I realize that my 5w-40 oil was probably as thin as water ).
Anyone got a definitive answer on this one ? Would switching first to 10w-40 then to 10w- 60 after say 3000 km help prevent any damage to the engine ?
Thanx in advance for any thoughts, advices, tips, etc.
Take care all ya'll
David
