    A4 Help Desperate!!!

Guys i know this isn't S2 realted but it's doing my head in, my 98 A4 2.8q 30v isn't wanting to start after it's been sat for a couple of hours, had the AA out twice now and the only way it will start is to pull off one or two of the injector connections and it will eventually lump it's way to life. AA man said it had sparks and and electrics to the injectors, when it's running it drives fine

Any ideas where to start??? I have done new plugs and air filter so far.

    Cheers

I must admit, i'd be pretty desperate if i had an A4 too. This doesn't help of course but this is fuel supply related. Start with a fuel filter. You really need to check the fuel delivery pressure. It could also be a cold start injector overfuelling (i am not familiar with the V6 engine) but perhaps someone here is, we would hope anyway.

Kinda what i thought too, it's in today for a new fuel filter, my other thoughts would be a bad temp sensor giving the wrong info to the ecu therefore the car thinks it's hotter or colder than it is (temp guage is perfect) btdt on a number of audi's in the past, thanks for the advice and i know i am asking in the wrong place but someone here probably has the answer or had a similar problem.

it doesn't have a cold start injector like the older 5 pot audi's either

Try disconnecting the 2 pin sensor on the back of the head (o/s) we had a a4 in the other day with the same fault & it turned out to be that sensor
