    Knock/lambda sensors, strange behaviour..

    Hi forum
A couple of days ago I tried to check the knock sensors on my 3B by disconnecting them and then go for a (careful) drive. I did, but when I checked the codes there was no fault code for the knock sensors, not good (It should be a code when the connector is pulled?). But I got a fault code for the lambda sensor, measured the signal and it was ~0V.

Disconnected the lamda and measured directly on it, and then I got from -0,2 to -0,9 V! Negative values! I checked that I held the DMM measuring probes the right way, still the same values. Anyone here experienced the same? The Lambda is only 5 months old (Bosch item). Will try to get a new on warranty.

Got a new oxygen sensor on warranty, will fit it today. As well as doing a front brake overhaul (new pads, refurbished A8 314 discs and RS2 calipers).
