    Poor Starting and Hesitation

Back on the road now for a few weeks after a top end rebuild and I have a few new problems

    1. Cold Start up is awful, lumpy and wont idle properly.
    2. Once running power seems fine but tick over varies from 1100 -1300 rpm at idle.
    3. When cruising she seems to hesitate, and just does not feel right.

I suspect its all down to sensor info to the ECU, bit I have cleaned the MAF and the ISV, boost seems fine 1bar and 1.1 overboost, vacuum seems fine -600

    Any thoughts anyone

    Re-Check all the hoses.
Swap the ISV and see if that sorts it.

Well - for what it's worth I had very uneven idling and very hesitant acceleration - leading my to think that my ISV was faulty AND that I had a boost leak (usual sympoms of accelerating to a certain point then 'bang' cut out and panic)!!

After much investigaton and trial and error I took of the coil packs and high tension connectors to take a peek - low and behold there was a small deposit of what looked like light oil on each metal to metal electrical contact.

Cleaned it off - re-built.......and runs like new!!

No idea where this oil is coming from as the plugs and engine area are dry as a bone!!

But ever 2-3 weeks I have to do this and then all is well!

May not be any use - but easy to check for big results if it works!!

          Thanks for that Ray

Unplugged, Cleaned and refitted and so far seems better, maybe just not seated correctly after the rebuild, I will know for certain tomorrow on the next cold start
