Get Millers 10/60 in a 5l can from your favourite local oil retailer.

Get your genuine VAG Oilfilter and sump plug and washer from VAGParts.com - make sure that you get the right filter for the right version of the S2 - I understand that the 3B and the ABY types are slightly different?

You can get the filter from GSF, it's made by Mann, the people who make the filter for Audi!, only difference is the Audi badge on the filter from Audi.

Sump plug is an **** to get out, search for the thread on fumuto valve, worthwhile investment.

At a whopping £4 from Audi according to my retail price info (maybe a few months old).
This filter is common to many other Audi engines (including entry level A4 engine) so its hardly the most unusual filter in the world. Example applications are -

AHL (1.6L 4-cyl)
ADR (1.8L 4-cyl 20V)
