Philip @ Basset Down as mentioned; a little one-man workshop near Swindon. IIRC it was £140 inc. VAT for balancing - that included rods, pistons, crank, pulley, clutch + flywheel. And all associated bearings + bolts of course! She runs smooth as now

But if you first tune it and then break it? That will cost you more or there is no money for a rebuild... Why not stick to 350 bhp / 500 Nm or so and go further on a later stage?

Erik refers to the turbo. I'm running uprated rods from day 1.
