    S2 pistons

desperate for s2 pistons to lower the compresion on my golf gti.

they fit the 1.8 kr block, my car is a 2.0 abf tall block, i'm pretty sure the bore size is the same, just the stroke is longer on my motor giving it extra capacity.

any info, parts, breakers, specialists numbers would be very appreciated

    cheers guys

s2 pistons will fit in your block if you have 16 valve heads.
I have set of pistons and rods, 300eur
But if you use tall block you need longer rods.

I double checked and 2.0 16v ABF engine has 82,5mm bore and s2 pistons are 81mm.
They dont fit. KR engine is normal 1.8 engine and can be used with s2 pistons.

Sorry my bad, but I cant remember all vag engines bore and stroke

Yes, you can use your rods, but I wouldn't advise using a 1,984cc block for turbocharging. Power gains are very minimal between the 1,781cc and 1,984cc with forced induction. 2L will also require custom pistons and probably headgasket. With the 1.8L, you use the metal headgasket from the G60.

i was going to use a think coper head gasket supplied buy bahn brenner motorsport until i could find the right pistons, rods and money to have the compression lowered correctly.

i've been quoted 265bhp for the mods i want, i think that'll be enough for my fwd golf, this is once the correct pistons are in, not on a copper head gasket. probably get 210bhp without pistons, its 180bhp now see...

just need to get things done now.

got intercooler off a merc sprinter
getting brackets pulleys and belts off awtracksport
getting eaton m64 supercharger off mate in merc dealer
            need head gasket from bbm
then a custom pipe work and a re-map

you would be better off with orginal metal gasget, but it's your choice.
Your engine will need custom pistons and/or custom rods, thats way too much money
              for 265hp
