Hi all,
I am looking for a set of stronger rods, I did some searching and came up with the following ones:
Eagle rods
Rods from 034efi

weight: 600 gram
Material: 4340 chromoly steel
Price: 685 euro for a set (+ shipping , import fees? + VAT?)
Arrow rods

weight: 530 grame (with bolts?)
Material: forged EN24 Material
Price: +/- 1200 euro for a set (+VAT+shipping)
SPM rods

weight: 550 gram (without the bolts)
Material: 4340 steel
Price: 641 euro for a set (+shipping)
Dahlback: Auto-verdi rods

weight: ???
Material: 30CrNiMo8
Price: 1605 euro (+shipping)
Quattro se rods

weight: ??
Material: 30CrNiMo8.
Price: 1455 euro (+shipping+VAT?)
Audspeed rods

weight: 597 gram
Material: 4340 chromoly steel
Price: 700 euro (+shipping)
Pauter

weight: 589 gram
Material: 4340 chromoly steel
Price: 747 euro (+shipping + VAT?)
Further on I found Cunningham, Crower, Eurospec and carrillo couldnt find a lot of information about there rods.
I have the idea that some of these rods are manufactured by the same company. Like the rods form dahlback and the rods from quattro se, both seems to be made by auto-verdi.
Regarding the eagle rods, audspeed rods and the SPM rods they all do seem to be the same but I am not sure.
All of them seem to made form 4340 steel or 30CrNiMo8 dont know if its the same qualitie and just another name for it.
All rods are strong enough to keep 700hp and all are about the same weight, most of them have the H-profile, only the pauter ones seems to be different.
Is there a lot of quality difference between the above mentioned? The ones from SPM seems to be the cheapest, especially because i can probably buy them without VAT (takes -25%)
Which one should you take?
