can someone please shed some light on this area for me as every body who I ring says they are the best (they all want my cash) I would like around 300 bhp ?
I have fitted a miltek exhaust & low flow cat + k&n element
you can get a generic chip that on a completly stock setup will achieve a reliable 280hp. More than that and you need to start making a few other tweeks. If you want more do a search for 'rs2 setup' and such like. This is the best compromise without spending mega money.
That said an RS2 setup will still potentially cost £3k to complete properly if buying new parts
Definitely a remap needed... t'was all done before I bought the car, but my 3B is pushing close to 300 with decat + performace box, 7A Exhaust Cam and an MRC custom map. With the Miltek I'm sure you'd be getting close...
Can anybody recommend someone to do the work as I have found someone on ebay that will visit me ?? sceptical
Don't blame you on that sceptisicm. I would be very nervous of anything like that off eBay.
Q S Tuning offer MTM maps and a whole range of other services, including Miltek stuff - so are familiar with your setup. I know they're some distance from you, but in my experience, worth the drive.

I used to live not too far from York and have to agree with you there as well. Some of the main Audi stealers didn't seem too clued up either

Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...
Check the car for leaks, codes and that it is running as it should, change the exhaust cam and get a custom remap - you will get close to 300bhp.
A set of generic chips will not get you 300bhp.

Hi mate i had the same questions as u before i came on this forum and quickly found out that Doug and Mihnea had a strong following so i decided to have a remapp by them. I have everything standard and as Doug said the drive home after having the remapp is the most fun u will have in a long time. I would reccomend them highly. Also heard the homefries are a good option. Good luck
