Yep Paul, according to my 'favourite engine book' - "a single ounce of metal (28 grams) has a dynamic weight of over 700 pounds when it's placed on a rapidly turning crankshaft counter weight".

I wonder how quickly a badly balanced motor would shake itself apart?

Mark, I got one done by the same person and according to the famous bathroom scales I gained or should I say lost 2.5 Kg and had a 3B flywheel loose 4.5 kg.

I know Phil was not to happy with the crank as there was no meat left for the balancing.
