What is the lifespan of an oil pump and when is ir worth changing?

I would love to know too as i'm in the process of rebuilding an ABY with approx 100k miles on it, anybody

I cant see any of the internal parts listed in ETKA only a part number for the complete pump, sounds expensive

If you are rebuilding your engine i would always change it, from memory..... ABY pump is about £170. 3B is cheaper but you would need the appropriate water pump as the process for tensioning the belt is different.

does anyone know what is difference between aby and 3b oil pump? etka numbers are different.....

Idler pully mount for the timing belt is one difference between them, 7A/3B motors have it mounted on the top of the oil pump, and the water pump adjusts the belt tension. ABY has the idler mounted on the block and its used for adjusting the belt tension.
