    Poor throttle response

Ok i know it's got nothing to do with S2's but i figure there is a wealth of expertise here who might be able to shed some light on this problem. This is to do with my A4 2.8q, when i give it say 1/3rd to half throttle it picks up fine and feels good strong and willing, when i open it anymore there just doesn't seem to be much point like it goes flat. I have changed the collant temp sensor and also the inlet air sensor which both came up under diagnostics but to no avail. Any ideas where to look next would be appreciated, maybe it's o2 sensors i dunno.

Definitely sounds like the lambda (O2) sensor might be suspect.
Other things to consider might be: throttle not actually opening WOT correctly (is it a fly-by-wire throttle on that car?) or perhaps ene of the coils going hooky?
