    Engine Tem Gauge not working....

(Sorry i meant Temp Gauge NOT Tem Gauge )
    Hello,

    I have a slight problem.
The temperature gauge in my dash has not been working for about a month.
However the fan still comes on when the engine is hot and the car is not moving much.

This is usually not really a problem because i don't go on to long journeys.
But i am now driving up to the lake district for chrimbo and want to make sure the engine temperatures are properly monitored.

Is this most likely to be the sensor or the gauge its self?

    Has anyone experienced this before?

    Thanks.

    Bo.

The coolant temp gauge is driven from the multi-func temperature sensor located on the water manifold

Have a look at sjmautotechnik's site re: cooling. There is a fairly good setion describing MFTS and diagnosis. A very simple test for the gauge operation is to short the temperature gauge wire (in the MFTS connector plug) to ground, which should send the gauge to its right most position.
