Hi guys-my eyes are red and im not sleeping well.Damn car!
Ok-the model is a 94 ur s4 i believe. This one has the AAN motor and 6-speed box.It has 218000km's on it and is a rhd.
Full service history and in the service book is a bright red sticker dating back to 94-"Caution-this car is fitted with a Lehmann engine conversion and suspension upgrade"
What does that entail?I am quite mechanically able and gave the car a good once over.Body and interior is perfect. This part gets me though-ive never seen an engine with this sort of mileage being so clean.Dusty yes,but not a tinker of oilsweat anywhere.Nothing-coming from Italian cars-this is very very spooky.
I stuck my hand into the cover over the sump-NADA,zilts,nothing.Not a drop of oil anywhere......I see that the car only used 500ml of oil in the last 6000kms.It looks like it was serviced every 6000k's or so.Owner reckons they short filled it.It doesnt use any oil.Another spooky idea.
I couldnt drive it today, but will probably do so soon.My main question is-i see there is a 3B, ABY and then the AAN engine. The latter 2 both using the seperate coils. What was the difference between the ABY and the AAN?What sort of performance can be had with the AAN.
I also see that there are various camshafts available for these.I went to the Dahlback site and nearly had a coronary when i saw the prices.Im still on the oxygen mask.
Guys-i have a bunch of heavily modded Italian machinery here.I am cued up on turbos and the like, but seeing that i want to use the s4 for a daily driver,i dont want to molest her too much.300hp will be fine.
All these questions have probably been asked before-but im an idiot when it comes to searches.
Thanx in advance
Cheers
Riekus

By the sounds of it you probably already have 270bhp+ with that upgrade. The ABY and AAN engines are very similar, the only major difference being the route of the inlet air. The ABY is the S2 version and the AAN is from the S4 and S6. These engines are well capable of rocket ship mileage if looked after so I wouldn't be surprised at the lack of oil and muck in the engine bay. Just make sure the cambelt's been done every 80,000 miles (120-130,000km) and that it's been serviced regularly! Good luck!!
I can't see any Fe(OH)3 in the pictures either.
That's rally drivers for you.
