Luftmassenmesser aka AIR VOLUME METER for S2/RS2

Can someone tell me if the MAF from S2 can be direct replaced by MAF from RS2 ? There a difference in AUDI No. by one character (N instead of K at the end of audi number)?
The car runs on K27 hybrid and SMS electronic.
What MAF can I use instead the two's above? I'm only looking for stock replacement, not for MAF from Sport quattro
    Please help

Pretty sure that calibration is different on these two MAFs and the RS2 item has a less restrictive protective screen than the S2 item. Custom mapping will be needed to make best use of the RS2 MAF - even though it is dimensionally identical to S2 MAF.

To be honest I'm not 100% sure about the calibration issue - I have never had a chance to log data from both MAF types on the same engine.

Bosch MAF, part number 0 280 213 017 (bosch part number, sorry don't have the porsche part number) from the porsche 968 works as a direct replacement for the RS2 MAF without remapping. Would maybe need calibrating to run on an S2 though as Paul says.

You cannot replace an S2 maf with a RS2 maf without doing some changes in the ecu. I just talked to a friend that put RS2 maf on his ABY engine. In order to use a RS2 maf you need to change a resistor in the ecu......

Hmm...strange my friend told me just a couple of days ago that there is a difference in the ecu from an ADU engine and AAN and ABY engines. He works with electronics daily so i trust him.

Ecu is different, but MAF's are the same. Only protective screens differ. RS2 has plastic, AAN/ABY/3b - metal. If there is calibration differences, then maybe they are more needed for ADU, than for ABY.

I personaly never tried ADU MAF, however this question was asked so many times on this forum, that I remember the answer .

Different story with Porsche or BMW MAF's - they need to be or recalibrated, or ECU needs to be remapped.

I just talked to a friend of mine,he said that either you have to use a chip thats mapped for a RS2 maf OR you need to change a resistor in the ecu.
