Basically some times when I floor the S2 (late 1993 six speed) it dramatically loses all power for a split second. The effect is the car jerks violently until I let off the power. This usually happens when I am in a high gear and just using the turbo to accelarate rather than changing down a gear. If I stop and turn the ignition off and on again I may not see the same problem again for a week.
I am usually between milton keynes and Northampton.

Didnt Ski have a similar problem and it was a faulty injector module?
Might be worth asking him if your sympthoms are the same as his were.
LOL i'm a forum buff and i dont officially own an S2 yet!!
I pulled the fault codes recently and there was just one '0544 maximum charge air pressure exceeded'. if I power off and on again this will dissappear. I have to get the problem to happen (floor it in a high gear usually does it) ,leave it running and then hook it up to the computer.
That'll be caused by an air leak. Are you a 3B or ABY ? Where are you ?
Paul
Im pretty sure it's an ABY. I am in Milton Keynes.
From reading about similar problems on this list I had my mechanic check all the hoses and he reckons they are all sound??? As far as I know he used a compressor to actuate all the air activated components like the wastegate and dump valve and they all seemed fine. He also figures that if it was a hose I should be able to hear air sounds in the car. I do hear good old turbo whoosh type sounds etc but nothing out of the ordinary.
