That is impressive Steve - and depressing at the same time. Mihnea was here tonite with Doug, Greg and Sal - tuning party stage 1 and he reckoned that you were running near enough 700Nm with 2bar boost at 4000rpm - from his estimates.

Boost was running at about 2 - 2.1 Bar, coming in strong when the RS2 turbo hit it's sweet spot at about 4k. Before the rods let go it felt like a Saturn v rocket taking off I'm definately up for the same level of boost or more when the engine is rebuilt, so those Carillos will be the first items on my Christmas list
Unfortunately, due to the amount of bend in the rods, they have worn a nice groove in each cylinder, so the block is scrap too anyone need a large paperweightops:

Dont think its so much as the boost level, more like the way in which it comes in and the torque produced. Please can someone buy me some carillos! I wont hurt them much

Here's a pic from the side. The rods are bent in both directions! Infact, one has a ripple running down it.
