    I would Dan, yeah.
If something or other has to be moved to fit the MFTS then you will want to do the Turbo Pump Switch at the same time. And maybe the temp sender at the back of the head (serves the ECU I recall) as some coolant will be lost replacing any of these senders (though minimal for the head sender). Don't forget new sealing washers too if they don't come with them.

I think the pump switch is about a tenner to buy. The MFTS is bigger money.

Dan, good luck with the move, new job etc etc.

The coolant temp sensor is £94.83 from the stealers ( still awaiting an e mail from VAG parts ). On my ABY S2 it was fairly easy access once the top part of the airbox was removed (do it on a cool motor your left hand has to go over the WG exhaust. My readings were bang on the graph ( see sjm autotechnic ) - rather disappointing as all my idle symptoms pointed to it being U/S. Let us know how you get on....

hmm, that HFTS is a bloody nightmare to do on the 3b, no space from the radiator and the fuel pressure regulator also gets in the way with any kind of spanner. In the end in mullered mine with a wrench because it was the only thing i could find to grip it. The diameter is pretty big and even if you can get a spanner or something in , then it ends up banging the fan cowling on the back of the main radiator.

            This all sounds distinctly unpleasant!

So mid-Feb up at Baschurch might not be ideal!

ah you'll be fine, its probably a case of just having the right tools to be fair, It was one of the first jobs i did on my s2 myself...so i probably wasnt at my best things have moved on a bit, now its not a case of repair on thing and break the thing immediately next to it

If you want a hand at the meet i'm happy to help...
