3.0 bar pressure tranducer for the 3B. Problems?

    Hey guys,

In my gathering of information for my RS2 conversion of my 3B motor, I've been hearing discussion about problems with replacing the 2.5 bar pressure transducer with a 3.0 PT. Apparently, the 3B ignition system isn't up to the task? This comes from a very reputable tuner in the US who maintains that there is no need to go higher than 2.5 PT. Any thoughts out there? Mihnea? Can an RS2 spec 3B acheive 360-380 HP with only a 2.5 bar PT?

    Thanks in advance!

The map sensor is easly replaced, open up ecu and de-solder 3 pins from old map and re-solder new.

You will struggle to get th HP you want with out going over 1.5 bar (2.5 absolute)

3B ignition system is well up to the job and much more just ask others on here, I run 410bhp happly and have done for over 60,000 miles and 5 years with no problems.

Replace your leads, plugs (with correct type) and change the dis drive for a steel one, new dissy with cap and rotor arms are cheap enouth and new ones have the steel drive.

Are you running a 3.0 bar PT? What software?
