I have a Porsche 3LDZ turbo in good condition that I had on my shelf in my garage . I was looking at the size of it comapared to the stock K24 I have and it looks pretty big. I was looking to put this turbo on my 20VT engine. Now I have some questions about this turbo. Is there any gain in performance compared to my stock K24 turbo? Im guessing there would be a gain by looking at the size comparison, but what HP level is the 3LDZ capable of on my engine? 350-400hp with proper modifications? What about spool characteristics? The turbo is as big as a K27. Does anyone have any experience with this 3LDZ? Here is a pic for reference:
