    Craig,

What dyno was this on? How accurate is it?

The reason why I ask is because there are many dynos in the UK that are not exactly accurate. I have known some to be out by as much as 20%

I don't really know, that You're on the right way, Craig. In fact, if You can build K24/26 hybrid - it won't be capable of 420ps - and it won't be on the +350hp line like rs2 can ... original rs2 uses K27 compressor wheel with 2.6" bottom dia. 1.9" upper dia - the hotside wheel is a bit smaller than original K26 wheel.
    944 has all K26 turbo , later 89' 944 and 944S has bigger hotside housing - aka K26#8.
I've built K26/27/29 turbo with K26#6 hotside - only this can kill the rs2 in high rpm with 400+ hp. If You want to make a better turbo from KKK parts then this is way to go! Not K24/26 ... 100% it won't be more than 315hp on 2.2 5cyl 20VT. Well not sure if You place better cams in. But this is an another story for all turbos mentioned

    Paul,

I'm not sure where you got the above part numbers from but they are not what is listed in the 3K parts catalogue for the RS2 Turbo. The rest of the info seems ok though.

Can I ask where you got the info from?

    Cheers

    Paul

    Standard S2 turbo is KKK5324-970-7000
    Audi part number is 034 145 702

RS2 turbo is KKK5324-970-7200 (also seen 5324-988-7200 listed)
    Audi Part number is 034 145 703D (earlier RS2 listed 034 145 702B)
    Cold side is 5326-101-5160
    Compressor wheel is 2672GGC
    Hot side is 5326-101-7388

    Other info I found -
    BEARING HOUSING K26 D75/51/41,
    TURBINE HOUSING K24-6.12,
    SHAFT&TURBINE WHEEL K24/G,

For a compressor map visit the link below -

RS2 turbo is good for 360-380bhp when properly timed and fuelled on the S2. Thats about 37lbs air per minute in rough numbers.

I have been told this is the compressor wheel i need to run from the company that made my first turbo. It is a K24 housing using the K26 internals from the RS2. I bought the 944 turbo just for the housing to compare sizes.

The early 944 turbo standard BHP figure is 220 BHP. The later 944 turbo standard BHP figure is 250 BHP.

The comp wheel on the later car is very slightly larger than the early car, only by a few millimetres though. Having said that it should be good for about 320 BHP with the right software.

The RS2 comp wheel however, is a few millimetres larger than the bigger of the two 944 turbo comp wheels.

And for everyones info, there are 20 different K26 comp wheel part numbers in the KKK parts catalogue

    KKK turbos

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am looking at the differences between the KKK range and so far i have a
    K16,K24 and soon a K26.

What i am looking at is the differences in sizes - compressor housing, exhaust compressor and inlet size.

So far it looks like the k16 and K24 have the same size of compressor housing ( not measured yet) and the K16 has a larger exhaust side.

I have also seen that Vmax are now using the K16 compressor housing for there K26.5/K24 turbo.

The turbos are from the following Calibra turbo, Audi S2 and a Porsche 944.

    Any comments or info welcome.

    Craig
