If you look in the list of posting topics you will see that under 1.8t coil pack conversions, I added a couple of posts today. I am the guy who developed the conversion and wrote the "guide" that people have been using both here on this forum and on the AudiWorld and Audifans forums in North America (I am in Canada).
Recently, an AudiWorld forum member posted a photo from the Sept 2004 issue of Eurotuner that showed the Dubweiser Golf Mk 1 with an AAN and quattro conversion. Of particular interest to me was the fact that Dubweiser used some form of coil pack similar to the 1.8t coil packs. I have tried contacting Dubweiser at info@dubweiser.co.uk to ask them what they used. I also showed them a photo of my completed 1.8t coil pack conversion on my 93 AAN-engined S4. I have heard zero back. (So far)
Does anyone have a better more direct contact or info about their set-up? I am just curious because when I developed my conversion, I had no knowledge whatsoever that it would work 100% until I turned the ignition key. I would have liked to have known that somebody else did some form of conversion. But I didn't. Hopefully I didn't reinvent the wheel.
