    Bigger intercooler snub mount solutions

    Hey guys.

For those of you who are thinking of going custom front intercooler. I have an idea.

In this picture you can barely notice it, but there is an S4 snub mount bracket on jimmy aan motor before he swapped to the 7a snub mount bracket. It sits alot lower than the 7a/S2 snub mount. and would work quite easily with the v6 front crossmember found in the lower pic.
That being said a V6 radiator could possibly be used with front mounted fans. I have time to spend thinking and reading now that I messed up my finger. These are the ideas I get.

This in particular is good for us guys in the states and canada etc. who are performing the swap and have to deal with customs, shipping and europe when we want parts.

    Opinions?

    Cheers
    Josh

Josh, I presume the Green car above is a B4 80 quattro. If so, it used to be a 3.6 V8 (PT) naturally aspirated conversion. The owner decided to go the turbo route.

This is a picture of a S4 front end.

you can see that the cross member is like the v6 crossmember found in audi 90 v6 models.

Basically instead of going the Rs2 route for intercoolers I am thinking of using a S4 snub mount, v6 radiator support, and mounting the intercooler to the v6 radiator support.

This would mean deleting the aux radiator or moving it.

Possibly something as rediculus as this.

Here's a great picture of the S4 snub mount bracket.
