What is MAX intercooler size that will fit S2 Coupe??

ok. So I've got a big intercooler laying around from another project that I have now put on hold for a bit.

    It's a quality bar and plate design and is 600mm x 300mm x 100 mm...

Will it fit out of interest?

I'm unsure what IC sizes will fit without major mods to bodywork / chassis etc?

    TIA

600x300 has been used before but 100 deep sounds way too big!

it is a bit of a monster

// do you mean sounds way too big as in I will have to bash the subframe in to get it to fit?? or just that its OTT?

      Cheers

as is your front pully will be wearing it, 3"(76mm) is a tight squeeze behine a standard bumper, IMHO cant see you getting a 4" behind

This is near the limit, but could still be higher and thicker, and with the S2 headlights(narrower then B3 lights) it could be wider

Surely the pressure drop on that is too big?

But isn't there a limit where the efficiency starts to decrease with the size of the iintercooler

                      Yeah. Thanks mate.
                      Useful info there......
but this intercooler supposedly has less than 0.1 bar pressure drop (certified the manufacturer says?!) so I think if I combine it with a GT40R then all will be cool

jk// unsure on turbo sizing (if I do the engine on this motor though it will be GT35R as a minimum so should be ok with regards to peak efficiency etc

Why? Shouldn't be much resistens should it

Yes, when temp doesn't drop any more(not much anyway) then larger is just a bit more lag
