Currently at Wab's. Been here since about 4 and currently have the car in bits. Between us we hope to have the engines swapped by the end of tomorow with a bit of tidying up to do on sunday. Already got my engine out so it's just the loom to go and then the 3B goes in :mischeif:

Anyway were off for a pint or ten.

Good luck guys If at all possible can you snap a few piccys of the process? Would love to see the wiring loom change especially, where its routed and connected to the fuse box etc

well is it a runner

nearly, few hitches with the old loom, (removal) as it was zip tied in a million places,

had to cut a piece out of the battery tray to get the loom through the bulkhead

loom is ready to plug into the fuse box now, i will take piccys

fuel line position for some reason is too short so will sort that this after noon

made connenting pipe for the exhaust to mate with his old system

basicly last night the engine was in, engine bay loom all pluged in, just needs the radiator putting back in and intercooler putting on

s2 front bumper sprayed same colour as his car

arron has taken pictures of various stages

hes fitting new wishbones this morning as i have had to come into work for a couple of hours

yes it runs again!!

azman is currently driving it home was boosting fine but with all the stick he's probably been giving it hes found a small boost leak so just needs all the hoses checking again, didnt get chance to give it much of a test run as he needed to get home.

he has the pixs sure he will post them up when he gets home

next weekend the v8 comes to wabs house!! heh heh heh:mischeif:

so it takes 3 good days to convert a 7A to a 3B

YEp it is definatley alive and I am currently looking for a load of stainless pipe so I can change all the inlet pipes to hard ones.

Few problems which need sorting today.

1 - Boost leak - a mazda MX5 managed to pull away from me?
2 - Speedo - not working - gonna try swapping/checking the looms are connected.
3 - Rev Counter - it works but at motorway speed, matching flow speed say 80mph in 5th it was registering 5500 RPM - tad high. Any thoughts.

I will post piccies later as I have to get them off my phone and sort these bits out hopefully before I go to work tonight.
