Guys I have found this. Can it be butchered a bit to fit the 3B. Or can someone tell me the angle of the pipe off the inlet man' to the intercooler so I can replace the tired one.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=

Oh yes is that the correct diameter of pipe or do I need bigger????????????

    Cheers

How much are they and where from. I want to get as much metal as possible on the intake tract to prevent bulging under boost.

Just thought that kit was quite good for the price considering SFS pipe link silicones are about £7.50 each and I would need 7 of the things!!!!!!!

If you mean the driveshaft bolts they are different sizes front to rear. DON'T go to Audi for them!!!!! They will give you an updated version with thread all the way down the bolt shaft! You need to speak to pete at Quattro corner to get the same ones as on the car.

If you mean the Hub carrier bolts, I got 3B hub carriers and have had to drill the struts out to the larger M14 bolts that the 3B had. I know there is only 2mm diff in the size of the bolts but you watch them knock your camber off something silly!.

            Hope that helps matey

Sorry mate - yes the driveshaft bolts! Cheers! will aviod the stealers anyway! Nearly 8 quid a bolt from Audi - less than half that from Vagparts! Had a feelin they were different on the rears, so cheers for that - dont suppose you got part numbers for the rears?

The bumper looks good on too - I got a V6 to go on and will probably run with the B3 bonnet till I can save up enough for the paint etc to go fully B4, so cool to see what it will look like in the mean time!

              cheers

I'm loving the B3 front with the S2 bumper.
Well done Will. Was it easier the second time?
I hope you get the teething troubles sorted Aaron, then you can really enjoy the boost.

                    Hi Si

quite possible that I might be wrong here ! Its the big bolt that goes through the wheel bearing into the end of the drive shaft that I need for all four corners. Not sure if the rears are the same. Part no I have is 4A0407643A if thats the right one! . Audi were quoting £7.83 each for those! Not able to check yours part no. from work but if its M10 it'll be too small - the number I have is for an M16 bolt but there's also an M14 option which is where it gets confusing!!.

                    cheers

@ Paulgo. I paid nearly £28 from the stealers for those bolts, hence taking them back and getting money back.

@ Pastures - Nope matey not that one, I am after the next one which goes from the end of there to the intercooler, I want to get as much polished metal in there as posible to prevent expansion under boost and to tidy it up a bit.

WAB the boost leak was the top pipe (the one I am talking about with pastures). It is/was that well sh****d jub clip!!!!!!

@ Paulgo - Right it was said to me in this way today. If I wanted an S2 why didn't I go out and buy one!! ( I was parked next to a B4 coupe at the time), when we finished work this morning he walked past my car and looked at the two side by side. He said don't change the bonnet and lights as it makes the car look mean and purposeful! I have to agree so I have a set of 3B light which will be going on the bay shortly!!!!

                          Cheers

my mistake paul i thought you were on about the bolts the other end of the shaft

                            on the front
m14 is if your using 7a drive shafts
m16 is 3b shafts larger splines and centre bore on these
on the rear is the same 7a/3b/aby but same p/n as the 7a fronts m14
                            if that makes sense

I agree, the type89 front is a much cleaner looking design, after seeing yours i cant wait to get the S2 front bumper onto mine Shame Audi did the corporate grill thing again by giving all the new models a gotee
