had a real nice to day with the S2, got my stuck oil sump plug removed and new 10w-60rs refilled and what seems like a new car also.
For the last couple of weeks i´ve been getting a feeling of my 3B S2 was not as quick as it used to be, not taking revs as fast as normal, particullary above 5K.
Was planning to get a boost guage to check the boost level or get a dyno test to see if all hp´s were there.
Left it in the garage yesterday and today when i took her out all was changed, like the flick of a swithc, alot more power seemed available, now its really pulling hard all the way to the red line, and feels faster than ever. 3rd gear from 80 km/h to 160 km/h feels scary fast and 210 km/h (i ran out of useable road
) is reached very quickly also.
Funny part is, that i have done absolutely nothing to the car
I got the oil changed today in a shop, and the guy had to weld an ekstra bolt on the sump bolt because it was stuck beyond belief, and in that connection the battery was disconnected, and i know that this would reset the ECU, but the power was there BEFORE the battery was disconneted at the drive to the garage
Can the ECU, in limp home/emergency mode reset by it self? Would not think so my self.
Anyway, am very happy with the way the car runs now
, but just wondering whether i had a fault of some sort before, and if so, how it could reset by it self, and whether it will develop again.
My rear muffler (stock) is shot (will probably by a Miltek in a few months), big holes everywhere, and the engine noise is much higher than stock, was wondering if i perhaps had a blockage of some sort in the exhaust system, and its now cleared giving increased power?
