I ran my kkk24 to about 1.5bar peak boost for about a year then the turbo seals went south.
S2 Coupe fully built.
10.9 1/4mile 0-100 in 3.5secs
Precision 6262 turbo

My UrS4 is currently at 152K running 1.4bar boost and has been since 146K, no problems at all.
Graeme.94 UrS4 Avant, slowly modding as we go.
Now gone replaced with:

1.4bar is about as far as you should dare with the stock K24. Its efficiency at that level isn't exacty fantastic - which means the charged air is getting hotter. Any more than 1.4bar and you are getting into the compressor will go heavily into 'choke' as its called.
Of course you can't run 1.4bar at the redline on a K24 for obvious reasons.

thanks for the help, i poshed my old turbo to 2.2bar got a week out of it then snaped the sharft lol well it did have 160kservice tec @ East Kent Audi

My stock K24 spent years trying to do 1.1 bar to the redline.
It's still going, somehow.
