    LPG conversion for 94 S2

    Hello people,

This might seem a bit odd-ball, but has anyone tried this?

The kits are going very cheaply on ebay.de, which makes it tempting.

    Cheers,

you have to be careful with LPG conversion, take a look at the LPGA and have a bit of a read up about it all. There are some good systems out there and some really bad ones, also some vehicles respond to it better than others. V8 range rovers do well on them tho

Jon - are you competing with BRY to take the ebay crown?

My step-bro ran a Merc on LPG for a while, if I remember: there are older kits that are to be avoided; the newer direct injection ones are very good. Not sure how it'd go on an S2, obviously you'd need a remap to optimise the system, but I understand that power loss is IRO 5-10% and consumption drops about the same. With LPG being about 1/2 the cost of petrol I guess that means you could run it for the price of a diesel...

But, you won't catch me mutilating my 'ol girl like that any time soon!

        Cheers
