    Fault code 2231

    I got fault code 2231 =

    Idle speed regulation

Idle Air Control valve (N 71) binds when closed

Mass Air Flow Sensor (G 70) offset

Resistance at terminal connector of (N 71)

Idle Air Control valve (N 71) binds when open

Air leak between Mass Air Flow Sensor (G 70) and Idle Air Control valve (N 71)

I have checked ISV, air leak and cleand MAF and still have the fault so now I need some advice. More to say is that the spark plugs are black so it seems to running rich..

Have you cleared the fault codes from the ecu?
Rich running can be caused by a worn out lambda sensor.
Have you done a pressure check on the system?

I have cleared the fault codes several times and done the test of the lambda sensor also, both with oscilloskop and a propame torch and measure with a voltmeter. One thing was then in idling the lambda sensor stops switching up and down, the give a little throttle and it's ok again for a minute.

One more thing is the driving in 90 the engien feels weak until I press the throttle a bit more than normal the it "wakes up" and accelerate.

        The system is pressure checked.

The ISV works, then disconnect it the engien rev increase and connect it decrease to normal.

n75 is ok 100% it do (klik, klik)

boost leak - no chance , it's shoes 0.2 bar on dash at idle. if there are some boost leak it will be 0,5-0,7bar on dash

today I try to fix my hall sensor in distributor, when I finish then starts light (check engine). and now don't wanna go over 0.4 bar , but engine work fine and run OK to 0,4bar .

hm... please can somebody explain something to me..

today I fix the hall sensor like it have to be on s4 aan which is under the pulley , I have hall sensor in distributor.

on my hall sensor in distributor are on the marks like it have in 3B engine. this is few degrees further than the s4 aan , and I fix it like on s4. than starts to flash engine check, but car works fine ,and starts ok , don't wanna go over 0,4 bar. but work better than before on idle.

now I put the hall sensor on the old marks and engine check gone ,and no more 2231 fault code , now go 1,4 bar like before...

so now I prepair one aan cilinder head and it will go on my car with hall sensor under the pulley. so when I put this head on my car I will have engine check light always on because I can't move hall sensor for few degrese left or right...

what can I do now in these situation?

perhaps the problem is my rpm on idle , they are too low maybe on 600 or 700 rpm on idle.. how can I get it on 1000 or 900 like it have to be... and the oil pressure will be higher and all my problem will gone in second...

                  please help me...
