Run in now but still not running well

After rebuilding the engine on my s2 coupe and running it in it still isent running well it feals much better when its cold I dont push it when its cold but it seems more lively very smooth and pulls very well much better than before. My son has just bought a new A3 2lt turbo anD it completly annihilates the s2 pulls away at any speed with absolute ease I no the new A3 is quite quick but surely not quicker than an S2 It dosent feal as powerful as my s6. I dont know what to look for next I have replaced front knock senser rotor arm distributor cap speed senser some turbo hoses checked al hoses thorughly all have been of cleaned and replaced with some new clips checked the MFTS by unplugging it replaced dump valve whith s3 version replaced n75 checked al conections still not any different the car revs all the way but feals like its holding back at around 4000 at times yet it starts straight away is very smooth an quiet on tickover its feals faster than it did before but still nothing like my s6 so has any one got any idear on where else to look I am going to do a Mark H mode on the intrecoller but the o ring seems ok If any one has any advice to give I would very gratful .cheers for now Lou.

Pressure test it Lou. It's the only way.
Boost leaks are a major problem with S2s.

Are you able to put in a temporary boost gauge? Did you replace the ignition leads and plugs? Try spraying some leak detector spray on all pipe connections £3.40 a can, and it really works trust me
