Be careful, JE provide two types of lock for the wrist pins, spiro locks and wire locks (wire locks are 2 per piston like OEM).

AFAIK you should not use spiro locks in pin bores machined for wire locks and vice versa, to be honest all of the JE's I have seen for audi (not many) have been machined for wire locks.

One way of knowing what type of lock you should use is by the P# of the pins they supplied with the pistons. For instance if the pin P# is 787-2500-14-51 C, the "C" indicates that the pin is chamfered for use with wire locks. If the P# is 787-2500-14-51 S, the "S" the pin is designed for use with Spiro and Tru arc type locks.

Who supplied you with the pistons? It is very bad that they did not supply them with the pin locks and you should not have to buy them as extras.
