I have my bought my VAG Com directly from Ross Tech and it is the serial type, so I don't have any experience with the 3rd party interfaces, and not with USB connections either (from what I see that is what you have?). So what comes next is only suggestions, no guarantees, anyone with experience with this VAG Com setup please speak up !

I can see VAG Com is detecting the interface, and on the next picture it will not find the ECU, thats strange. (Only time I have seen that is when PC goes into power save mode, and wakes up again, VAG Com will not connect to ECU and PC will need a restart) Maybe something is up with the diagnostic connection in your car? Try the VAG Com in another car, see if it works there.

I looked at the Ebay link (if this is the place you got it from) and it mentions VAG-Com 311.2, maybe it is designed to work with that software version. If you have a newer version you could try removing it and installing VAG-Com 311.2. Download 311.2 from here http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/download/archives.html

If you have tried "everything" maybe get in touch with those who sold you the interface, maybe they have a solution.

thanks. I have the Vag Com 409,1 that comes with the cable in a CD.
Not if it has to do, but fuse 21 this retired officer of its site because the car was working without ignicion, and to read that fuse 21 affects Vag Test.
