    Getting there

    Right guys.

    Slowly getting there,

I have just got my hands on a recirculating dump vavle and have a wastegate frequency valve on the way some time soon, New Vaccum piping on order and hopefully a new set of intake pipes in alloy with SFS joiners to tidy the whole intake side up a bit.

    One thing though.

How do I plumb in the FV. Is it a pipe from the top of the wastgate to the frequency valve only or is there more plumbing involved.

I have 4m of vaccum tubing on order so I should have enough for a good bit of plumbing to be done.

    Cheers

Tale plenty of pics of the old one before you remove it, them mark up the hoses one at a time as you remove them, then simply replace with the new valve.
If you get stuck search for WGFV on here, I'm sure there is a picture somewhere telling you which pipe goes where.

Just been to see the guy about the intake piping. He is cool and seems to know what he is on about judging from what he had on show and also the fact that he builds and deals with historic rally and kit cars.
Good price too. He did look under the bonnet and start to panic abit at the amount of room there is to play with so we are coming up with something to give a touch more room.

A few questions though guys -

Is the MAF one way flow?
Just to check - does the recurculating dump valve dump before or after the turbo?

Cheers guys. Will post pics by the end of next week hopefully with it all done.

MAF sensor is directional it has an arrow on it to show air flow, the recurculating valve dumps air back in before the turbo into the MAF to turbo hose how about taking the air filter into the cavity of the wing?

Just been thinking that but then its the cold air feed that would be a bit of a problem!
Unless you have got any ideas as to where it should go/come from

The cold air feed could come from the top of the oil cooler shrouding.
Doug did something like this for his cold air feed

I will be doing something like this in the future.

Problem with that is I don't have an oil cooler feeder. I just have an oil cooler sitting in the air as I converted to the 3B. Right. What we have come up with is to take the inlet pipe from the Maf to the turbo having the Maf sit behind the headlight and a short 90deg of to the filter which will give a whole lot more room. It's just sqeezing the breather inlet and the recirc inlet all on the same bit of pipe. Hey ho I'm sure we will find a way.

                Keep you posted!

There has already been talk about this on another thread..... get rid of the foglights which are not of much use really and replace with an intake + ducting available from most car accessories shops (def DemonTweeks and the like). May have to trim a bit but will do the job nicely.
I did this to feed my oil cooler and it helped cooling immensely.
                  Hope this helps.
                  Cheers

Yep Sure is Will but I want to create a bit more room if possible on that side so I can move bits away from the hot side and get some heat shielding in there. Gonna have to create a bracket for the oil cooler too. Still got lots to do and sort on this car and the projecty one arriving soon.

                      I must be mad
