    Which POS is which?

Does anyone know which POS supplies which Cylinders?

The writeup on http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/troubl...4_Ignition.htm is very good, but those POSs are laid out differently to mine.

Or can anyone tell me how I can find out?
Can I just check for continuity between the POS plug terminals and the Spark Plug connector? (or is there some circutry in between that'll break continuity?)

    Thanks floks,

There is a nack to doing it, the centre section of the plug must come out first which will expose the clips for each female connector why do you need to mess with the wiring?

If you pull back the rubber hood from each of the coil pack connectors one of them should have 3 wires attached to it the other should have 2.

IIRC from when I did it, it is the same as the sjm autotechnik pictures with the two wire connector firing cylinders 4 & 5.

If you wanted to double check you could always unplug the 2 wire coilpack connector from the pos while the engine is running so that is firing on 3 cylinders (and running very roughly) and then confirm which cylinders are firing by unplugging the injectors. When the injector from a working coil pack is unplugged the engine will run even more roughly.

        Thanks AAH!

I'd have a go at re-wiring, but i've gone and bought 2 POSs from the ebay.

        Thanks anyway though!

Ok, so i've tried to rewire the POS plugs...

          But it's IMPOSSIBLE!

The metal crimp just doesn't want to come out of the plastic housing.
It's not like an ordinary MOLEX connector where you can just push down the metal catch to unclip it, there's something else inside still holding on.

          Can anyone help?
Is there a nack to unclipping these things, or is it just brute force?
