I'm having to think about getting my turbo recon'd as its rubbing/wubbing under acceleration but I wondered if anyone had replaced the hard lines to and from the turbo at the same time? If so were they coked up and is it possible to clean them or not worth it?
They should be fine David. The oil return hose has a wide bore and it's easy to clean, the smaller diameter oil feed pipe can be flushed out with WD40, petrol, etc.
What else do you need for an RS2 turbo to work correctly? (Just some background research... )
Cheers,
steve.

You can do it much cheaper than that David, about 1k max. You can get a big IC like mine, Toms, Dougs etc for less than 200 (much more efficient than the RS2 unit), used RS2 EM for 300-350, injectors for about 250 (or maybe 034 variant) im still using stock 3b FPR no probs, you can use the 7a one, thats all of 10-20 quid, i have one somewhere i could sell you. im still using stock fuel pump also buts thats right on its limit, even so the 044 motorsport pump mod is only about 150ish (i should do that really).
Get the house re-mortgaged and get it bought, LOL

My used RS2 Turbo and Manifold were £650 for the pair so it can be done. It's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time.
I got injectors direct from bosch for £36+VAT each. Only dear bit is the IC but as MartinJS says you can get the big ones off ebay for not much money.
