    toothed belt pulley moved...again!!!

    Hi guys,

i'm looking for a little little help...or an explaination:

we are building a S2 with RS2 parts. so far so good, but one day happened this:

toothed belt pulley moved from he's place about 2 tooths. now, installed new one, tightened with ~500nm...it moved again!

3rd time we're using a much-much lightened damper, made from dural-aluminium...belt pulley moved AGAIN!!!

    any suggestions ?

are we talking about the bottom pulley or harmonic damper????? if so check that that the woodruff key is correctly inserted and you haven't got a pulley that is cracked, i know some folks here have seen this, sounds like it's not locking/locating into place right, if this moves and cambelt jumps a tooth or 2 it's good bye engine hello rebuild

Are you using the proper tool /home made tool to lock the crank? If not your probobly breaking the woodroof key when trying to torque the pulley up?
