    New Radiator

Booked the car into garage to have new main radiator fitted after ordering genuine vag one. Gave mechanic a copy of some rad removal tips that were found on this forum (great help). At the same time he removed my aux rad which was in quite poor condition. Car definetely runs cooler both in oil temp and water temp. Well worthwhile conversion. Cost was £264 for new rad and 2 x rad mounts and just short of £200 to remove both rad's , supply genuine vag coolant (G12) fit and bleed . Not sure if that's a good price or not ?. Car running ok now.
Brake conversion next i think along with a remap.....

        Yeah it did.
No seriously no probs, if i'd known then i'd have went down that route but it's done now.I'm also quite glad to get rid of the aux rad aswell as it looked like something from a horror film.

Anymore jobs that arise rest assured i'll be asking the questions...

        Cheers brm180

I did my own rad, but it is no fun (I have aircon too) it took me about 9 hours all in. Including trying to the last fastener in which I did not bother with as it is IMPOSSIBLE to get in unless you are on of the "Borrowers"

Saved me a coupe hundred quid though!

          Cheers,

          Steve.
