    Boost Hose Replacement

I have read Pauls post (May 2004) regards fitting samco hoses to an aby. This really is very useful and I am undertaking the task this saturday.

I understand from this that I need the following tools:-

    10 mm spanner/socket
    13 mm spanner/socket
    Torx-headed socket/wrenches - what size?Cross headed/flat headed screwdrivers
6 mm/7 mm sockets for clip removal
    Allen Key (6 mm/7 mm)
Hex socket for intercooler - Ive done this already.

Is there anything else I need? - I dont want to get half way through the job and have to abandon it.

Also, what size (and quantity of each) jubilee clips do I need for the job?

    Thanks in advance.

don't use audi jubilee clips they are crap, buy genuine jubilee clips or something similar, i have tried new audi ones and got to the point where i think it's tight enough and they just go click and break. Your tool list sounds about right to me, i perosnally use 1/4 sq drive stuff for undoing hose clips and a gearless wrench for tight places, plus an assortment of extenions

          http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/ Do good clips.

They are fairly priced and charge about £6 p%p.

The boost hoses are very simple to do just take a bit of time, the hardest part is getting the bumper off if it hasn't been taken off before. WD40 the bumper bolts as they are prone to seizing.

Also pour hot water on the pipe connection too washer jets to get it off without breaking it.
