    Hot Engine

Last week I figured my engine started to run hot, previously it does not rise above 90 degrees but now it rises to 2 marks above 90, car feels sluggish, probably there is no boost at all. radiator fan starts when it reaches to 90 mark, but temp still rises, after it reaches to 2nd mark after 90 mark, then it stays there or drops, depending on the traffic.

also I figured that there is no dv ound, before you can hear emptying noise. Thus I think there is a problem about boost, and/or prooblem about cooling the engine.

Ths is a very bad time for this problem, because I am getting married and I am on a very busy schedule.

    Any ideas???
    Cheers

Do you hear the cooling fan speeding up to the higher speed when the temp goes higher?

ı dont think so, at what temp does the cooling fan 1st stage run, and also the 2nd stage? does anyone know?

I connected the car to the vagcom, it gave "short or open to the ground error for, evap, n75 and for some other valve. I think there is a problem with fuses. does anyone have a list of fuses for rs2 adu engine?
      Cheers

yes, mine reaches the 2 marks after the 90 degrees. It is common for countries like hours with hot climate.Im going to change the fan switch, the thermostat with one going on 82oC and also going to change the afterrun pump temp sensor with one opening on 90degrees rather than 108-109.
This will keep the indicator on the 90oC mark and never go over that.

Not so long ago on an uphill my temp gauge was 3-4marks above 90 which again is not something bad.it is normal for these cars as their temp sensors are high

taking a thermostat out and replacing it is not an easy job on the s2 rs2!
better solution for me is to always be at a 90oC max temp.

PapVas, do you know the part numbers of the fan switch, thermostat and afterrun pump temp sensor?

btw, does anyone know how much change between two marks in the dashboard?

also does vagcom can show the temp of the cooling system?
                  Cheers
