Does anyone know if K26 turbo bolts onto the stock S2 manifold? Might have one comin my way

Chris, how come you want to change to a K26?
If it's the standard K26 used on early Audi models should have a 2664 cold side which can provide around 1.8 max boost but still no more flow than a standard K24, so that your max top hp could not exceed 270-280 Hp.
Of course boost capabilityes of the K26 allow a pretty high "kick in the butt", but then boost needs to be lowered quite quickly and sharply while rpm raise.

The RS2 turbo is a special incarnation of the K26 style made by KKK under Porsche and Audi design requirements. This is VERY important to know as any old K26 turbo could have been used off the shelf for a compromised design, but thankfully the RS2 team were allowed to spend the money on developing a custom turbo for the I5 application.
With stock programming, camshafts and correct fuelling etc, the RS2 turbo is good for 315bhp and 410Nm with a definite surge coming on about 3500. Below 3000rpm the stock RS2 is not the most enjoyable thing to drive.
With modified chips, ably assisted by a stiffer WG spring, the RS2 turbo can deliver ~370bhp and ~500Nm torque with the surge coming about 500rpm earlier in the rev range and much increased driveability in the lower revs.

Think i've got the basic idea. I'll just await the home fries by paul, different exhaust and bigger intercooler and see where we are then. Maybe then i'll get a RS2 turbo
