Please can anyone help
My cars been doing this for 9 mouths now it just will not start well need to crank it each time .fuel pressure good a lot of new parts , sensors etc , coil packs ,maf , When running no problem . idle a litte lumpy other wise runs well 400hp ish but starting alway hard work crank -------------------& fire then not problem to you need to start again what can cause this please

So you mean that your engine needs turning over for along while before it catches and starts??

Have you vagcommed it?
is it a 3b? (dizzy)
New plugs?
checked compression on all cylinders...

Hi my cars a rs2 yes i need to turn it over to much for it to start , it has new plugs,maf,ecu themp sensor coil packs , fuel reg , & other bits & pieces
once running it gos well , what makes a car so hard to start ???

really BAD ignition SWITCH......change this part first.or the starterlockin unit.

did you changed the compression ratio? what is your cr?

Have you changed the fuel pump check valve? Notorious for leaking and not being able to maintain fuel pressure in the lines, causing hard starts.

cr is standred compression good I checked fuel pressure it seen to be holding
It is hard to start hot or cold . Cold start is a bit better than hot start i dont have to turn it over as much before it fires , 2 things that will make it hard to start are bad compression & bad fuel pressure these things seem ok , What else should i check
