Need pistons, overbore #1 or #2

    Hi,

Well damn my project just took a turn. I now need a set of pistons overbore size 1 or 2, as the block is gonna have to be rebored. There's just too much wear to use the originals... as the parts were supposed to be in for balancing this week, that presents a few problems! I know, I should have looked into this one 'just in case'. Guess I better apply for a second credit-card....

So, I'm rather stuck on this issue - I need some and fast, don't wanna pay over the odds but if someone has a set ready for a project, and doesn't mind getting replacements and passing them along with a slight premium of course, I really don't have many other options! Or, if someone knows where I can get a set within days?

    Thanks!

    any use?

As long as what you need is not to exotic should beable to get them within 5-10days.

£714 including VAT and delivery, as soon as your funds have cleared I can push the button.

Could be... I'm not going the 'exotic' route, just want something that is equivalent to OEM really. Except that Audi don't make oversize pistons... Was just browsing 034 so cheers; only concern is the compression; I was hoping to maintiain 9.0:1 with the standard metal head gasket - want a little bit of off-boost driveability. Any options there?

      Cheers

Thanks guys, an hour of making some calls and I'm sorted for a solution.

I do wanna say thanks - don't know how I'd survive without the forum!

          Cheers

Cool, although I had just got off the phone with Javad, who said we could supply some custom ones to get your compression ratio but the lead time would have been 3 weeks.
As a side note, if you were going for more hp after your rebuild then the slight drop in CR would allow more boost, although the trade off with that is a bit more lag.

Glad you got hooked up with something
