Turbo trouble

Hi all

Well I have my car back at last, and a reconditioned turbo has been fitted. Problem is now I am only boosting to 0.3/4 bar boost for some reason. cry Any ideas guys?

Cars still running okay even at that boost tho . I had a run with a stunning silver A3 2.0T last night on my way home. Looks gorgeous in that colour and the guy had on a set of huge 19's and quite a loud exhaust!
I didn't run away from him like I did a GTI a few weeks ago, but I was still on his tail until he tapped off. He couldn't get away boost problem and all. Now if only i can get my boost up!

Are all your pipes connected up correctly following refit. Are you having boost cut symptoms i.e. like you are hitting a brick wall.

Have you pulled the fault codes?

Let us know and we may be able to point you in the right direction.

You have a boost leak somewhere. I would check all the pipes that you have moved when you fitted the turbo and go from there....

I had a go at lunch time, and took off my right head lamp and the airbox. It was a b@tch to get at but I found my WGFV unplugged. Plugged it back in and presto I have 0.7 bar boost!

Still a low but I'm guessing that's down to a boost leak.
