Sometimes when I turn my car off I get a silly ticking noise coming from under the bonnet I not to sure where from. Just seeing anyone know what the problem could be??
Usually its from cooling alloy.....the head, the calipers, discs, the exhaust system etc which expand then contract as they cool.
In the present weather my RS2 ticks away for a good few minutes after arriving home.
Mine does all of the above but also the afterrun pump to circulate the water after the engine is switched off can make a sort of ticking noise!

Yeah I get the normal ticking sounds from under the bonnet because of the heat but the sound I'm hearing is a continuous ticking for about 5 seconds, i don't get it all the time. I was just interested in knowing what it could be.
I think you right it probably is the afterrun pump. The noise doesn't stay on for to long, I don't think its a serious problem.
