4 Bar isn't too bad at full running temps, it all depends on type of oil, etc. You've definately spun the bearings, this is often due to oil starvation. Have you made any tuning changes lately? If not, have you checked the oil pump?

Looks like yours was flawed somewhere in the manufacturing process.

This is what my spun rod bearing looked like:

                          1990 Coupe quattro 20v, no T
                          1992 S4 20v, very much so T

                            spun bearing

the engine does not see clean inside, read: to LONG oilchange intervalls, i have older engines(from 84) they doesnt seen like this innside. i have older diesel(2,4 and 2,5) with 400000km on,theydoes se like this. the cranc does need rebuild,or change it.
then you need rebuild the engine, because the trash from the bearing.and you really need to clean it in the oilgallery ..the bearings DOES cost a lot of money, and lot of work.

Might as well source and fit a good used engine by the time you have stripped everything down and cleaned it, be easier and quicker. You won't get all the bits out of the oil cooler for instance and it's then just a matter of time before you find bit's floating around again. I would swap the oil cooler too whatever route you take.
